What the service covers on the 2021 Lexus IS 300The oil change service for the 2021 Lexus IS 300 begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling it with the oil grade and capacity the manufacturer specifies. A new oil filter is installed to help support clean oil circulation. The oil life monitor is reset, and underhood fluid levels are checked as part of the visit. Booking the service also gets the oil and filter replacement logged against the vehicle’s history.

Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, even before it looks dirty. That is why the manufacturer’s schedule for this model year calls for an oil change and oil filter replacement every 10,000 miles. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. Drivers noticing these signs can schedule service for the 2021 Lexus IS 300.
