What the service covers on the 2018 Lexus RX 350LAn oil change for the 2018 Lexus RX 350L begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the oil grade and capacity the manufacturer specifies. A new oil filter is installed to help capture contaminants, and the oil life monitor is reset so the maintenance reminder reflects the completed visit. Underhood fluid levels are also checked as part of the service.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris long before it necessarily looks dirty. That is why mileage and time guide maintenance rather than appearance alone. The manufacturer’s published schedule for this model year calls for replacing the oil filter and changing the engine oil every 10,000 miles.
An oil-change reminder light, mileage past the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup can signal that service is due. Drivers can schedule service with Park Place Lexus Grapevine.
