What the service covers on the 2018 Lexus LC 500hAn oil change begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the 2018 Lexus LC 500h with the grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. The service also includes a new oil filter, a reset of the oil life monitor, and a check of the underhood fluid levels. These steps support proper lubrication and help the engine manage heat and debris during normal operation.
Engine oil loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris long before it looks dirty. That is why the maintenance schedule is based on mileage and time rather than appearance. The manufacturer's published schedule for this model year calls for an oil filter replacement and engine oil change every 5,000 miles.
An oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup can indicate that service is due. Drivers can schedule service with Park Place Lexus Grapevine. Booking includes replacement of the oil and filter and documentation of the visit in the vehicle's history.
