Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, even before it appears dirty. Regular replacement helps address that normal degradation. Signs that the 2017 Lexus NX 200t may be due for service include an oil-change reminder light, mileage past the last service, oil on the dipstick that looks dark or low, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. The manufacturer’s published schedule calls for both oil filter replacement and engine oil changes every 10,000 miles. Drivers can schedule service with Park Place Lexus Grapevine.
