What the service covers on the 2017 Lexus IS 300An oil change for the 2017 Lexus IS 300 begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the oil specified by the manufacturer. The service also includes a new oil filter, an oil life monitor reset, and a check of the underhood fluid levels. These steps help ensure the maintenance visit is recorded correctly and that the vehicle leaves with fresh oil and filtration.

Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, even when it does not look dirty. That is why the manufacturer's schedule for this model year uses mileage and time rather than appearance alone. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. Park Place Lexus Grapevine invites owners to schedule service for the 2017 Lexus IS 300.
