What the service covers on the 2014 Lexus IS 250The oil change service for the 2014 Lexus IS 250 begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling it with the oil grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed to help capture contaminants as oil circulates through the engine. The oil-life monitor is reset after service, and the underhood fluid levels receive a check as part of the visit.

Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris. That is why appearance alone is not a reliable way to judge whether the 2014 Lexus IS 250 needs an oil change. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, oil that appears dark or low on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. Park Place Lexus Grapevine invites drivers to schedule service when these signs appear.
